BOTOX® Therapy
Botox is the dependable and popular method of treating frown lines, smile lines, crow’s feet, bunny lines and other dynamic wrinkles. But some wrinkles are the result of muscular action. These are called "dynamic wrinkles". They include the frown lines, which occur between the eyebrows, the crow’s feet or "laugh lines" at the outer corners of the eyes and below them, the brow furrows of the forehead and lines on the neck. The method consists of injecting tiny quantities of a biological medicine called Botox into specific muscles that cause these wrinkles. Botox is made from a purified protein or "Botulinum enterotoxin". This substance does not harm the muscles. And it does not harm the nerves. But it blocks the signals from the nerves so the muscle will not contract. Thus the cause of dynamic wrinkles is removed. BOTOX relaxes the wrinkles and gives the treated area a markedly softened and rejuvenated look. Botox is not a permanent treatment, but it is long lasting. Your first treatment will usually last four months. With repeat treatments the results tend to last longer. Ultimately, one to two treatments a year will maintain the improvement.
The treatments are safe and effective. Adverse effects are rare. BOTOX may be also be useful in treating excessive sweating of the underarms and palms. Collagen Therapy
Collagen is a naturally occurring biological product found in the second layer of skin (the dermis) which “plumps up” the skin, joints, bones and ligaments. Collagen or dermal fillers can be injected into wrinkles and scars. While BOTOX® works well for the upper face, collagen treatments are superior for the lower face. Dermal fillers can be used to enhance thin lips, smile lines, tear troughs and the corners of the mouth. Collagen may also be used with or without BOTOX® on the upper face.
Collagen injections counteract the effects of gravity, sun exposure and years of facial muscle movement by filling out sunken areas and smoothing lines for a rejuvenated look. Collagen can also be used to improve the appearance of acne scars and other traumatic scars.
Restylane® and Juvéderm™, the more popular dermal fillers, are made from non-animal, stabilized "hyaluronic acid." Hyaluronic acid is a natural non-protein structural biological component of our skin. It has no known potential for allergic reactions. So no skin test is needed. It is a safe and natural cosmetic dermal filler to restore tissue volume. It helps to form the three-dimensional "fabric" of our skin and other tissues.

Laser Treatments & Light Treatments
Lasers make it possible to perform high-precision and often painless procedures to remove unwanted hair and reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, sun damage, scars, uneven pigmentation, stretch marks, birth marks and vascular lesions. Other uses of lasers include facial skin resurfacing, smoothing acne scars, rejuvenation of aging skin, removal of warts, treatment of liver spots, facial capillaries and leg veins and tattoo removal. We offer a variety of laser treatments to give you healthier, younger-looking skin.
Lasers can effectively treat many types of pigmented skin lesions. The choice of laser depends primarily on the depth and color of the pigment that is being removed. Pigment in the epidermis is fairly easy to treat with a variety of lasers and non-laser methods. Aesthetic laser procedures are generally safe and relatively painless when performed by an experienced physician, although each procedure is different. With all laser procedures, there are certain degrees of risk and uncertainty. During an initial consultation, Dr. Hoang will discuss your procedure with you in detail, describing the realistic potential outcome and any possible risks involved.
Resurfacing procedures such as laser skin resurfacing and even the "power peel" treatments are effective in removing epidermal or superficial pigment. Patients undergoing these treatments can expect significant improvement or complete clearing of epidermal pigment.
